This website is the my final and biggest project in powerlifting. It is the product of my over 36 years of lifting weights. I have collected a lot of information from a lot of people. Many lifters will be contributing and I Thank them. I wish to personally thank all those with whom I have lifted with over the years, The NCSU Barbell Club , The Origional Carolina Ironmasters (whom this site is named after) , and Don Harris (The origional Ironmaster). Many thanks to Terry Stutts, Nathan Desloge (showed me how to use a computer) and all the others who have had to put up with me as a training partner (and it wasn't easy). Thanks to Keith Payne for encouraging me to do this, and believing that an old dog like me can actually do a website. Thanks to coach Bruce Hardin , my first and only coach. But most of all I thank my father (The late Richard Strauss) for encouraging me to lift weights as a skinny 16 yr old and my mom Evelyn Strauss for lugging home my first bench. Many thanks to all !!! On this site you will find out information on Carolina Powerlifting. there will be information on training, performing the lifts, and information on events. You will be able to correspond with powerlifters as well. We hope that you will be able to enjoy it and eventually become part of it by contributing to it in your own way.This site is the product of many years of hard work by a lot of lifters, many of which will be featured on in this site.
